Chapter 4 - Have You Forgotten Me?

Have you forgotten me?

Have you forgotten that I created thee?

Have you forgotten all that I have done for you and can do?

Have you forgotten that I was the one who fed you when you were hungry?

Have you forgotten that when you were lost, I came and found thee?

Yes, it was I who created the beautiful things for your eyes and ears to behold.

I was the one who made your face shine in the sun.

I was the one who filled your lungs with breath every morning.

How could you forget me?

I am your Creator. I love you.

But you, my creation, you hate me.

I pour my love on you, but you do not wish for my love.

I ask for your repentance, but you do not repent.

You, my creation, break my heart.

For I am meek and lowly in my heart, but you resent my mercy and kindness.

I love you, but you push me away.

Why do you push me away?

Did you forget that I was the one who created the heart that holds your wrath? The same heart that you use against me.

I begged you to turn from evil. But you did not turn your heart to me, so that I would heal it.

My creation, why have you forgotten me?
